Vision Project Audience
AUDIENCE
- The school community. Parents, teachers, administrators and board members.
PROJECT
- To participate in a spiral of inquiry around indigenizing the LLC. Document this endeavour as well as future learning initiatives on the school based website.
RATIONALE
- With the technology we have today it makes sense to share the learning that is going on in the library learning. "We can raise the teaching profession by sharing what works, by taking the best of what we do and hanging it on the virtual wall. Many would argue that is is now the duty of teachers to do so." (Richardson, 2012)
- The weekly website continues to be a place where students and teachers can come for practical information like a weekly blog about the happenings in the LLC, the schedule, & programming information. Using the school based website to document the learning on the learning page takes the sharing of information one step further academically.
- Making the learning in the LLC transparent to the community at large. "Getting into a transparent, digital sharing practice can actually save you time in the long run (think of the amazing archives). And it's increasingly becoming imperative in this age of abundance." (Richardson, 2012)
- I hope to use this platform of the school's webpage to further put the LLC in the forefront of people's minds when they think of ASMatheson. It is a way to show how the students and the teachers are keeping up with the trends in education.
- During the time of this specific project the focus will be around truth and reconciliation and indigenizing the LLC. "The voice of the students, the indigenous learners, indigenous education should be part of our school fabric. Just by listening to the story and the resilience they have shown is a powerful tool for all of us to learn." (Baker, 2019)

A good overview of your audience and rationale for this project with some discussion of the goals and key elements of this project. You've outlined your design aspects, frequency, audience and purpose with some basic bullet points, but a little more elaboration and discussion would be beneficial, supporting your thinking and design choices. A good overview, but a bit more connections, and discussion of the challenges you might be facing, or how you plan on promoting and distributing the resource would be helpful.
ReplyDeleteI am really interested to see your final product as the focus on indigenizing the LLC is one that I think will help to inspire and guide us in this area. I also like that you have outlined that it will be a place for showcasing future learning - it is always great to show the 'ongoing' nature of teaching and learning.
